Sep 30, 2015 9:50 AM in response to leJuan5150by cohaodha,I just noticed that my iPhone 6 had not backed up to iCloud since 09.17.2015 when I installed iOS 9. My iPad Air (WiFi only), also upgraded to iOS 9 on the same day, had no problems backing up to iCloud. After hurriedly backing up to to iTunes I "Reset Network Settings"* on my iPhone 6 and back up to iCloud worked immediately.
* Settings/General/Reset(scroll down to bottom of page)/Reset Network Settings
When the iPhone reboots you have to re-enter your Wifi password.

Sep 30, 2015 1:57 PM in response to leJuan5150by kiriakosa,After upgrading to 9.0.2 both my iPads (pad 2 and Air) couldn't backup to iCloud. Resetted network settings and it worked like a charm on both devices (manually). When it comes to Automatic, it remains to be seen.

Sep 30, 2015 3:27 PM in response to leJuan5150by gustavobrito,Good news guys! (a kind of)
I was facing this problem on iOS 9.0 and 9.0.1, then i installed the 9.1 public beta 1 and 2 and the problem still was there.
But today, with the release of iOS 9.1 public beta 3 I'm finally able to perform the iCloud backup through Wi-Fi again. And without have to delete backups, log off from iCloud, to pray, perform a somersault, etc....
Let's hope Apple release this version to the public soon!

Sep 30, 2015 7:07 PM in response to kiriakosaby MalinPlaisir,That didn't work for me. I am on 9.0.2 and performed a reset of the network settings.
I start the backup manually. It runs for about 20 mins and I get "The last backup couldn't be completed. Last Backup Sept 16, 2015 at XX:XX (i.e., before upgrade to 9)."
The other odd behaviour is that when I go to iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage>Backups - iPhone (which shows as 0 kb) > Delete Backup... I get the message "Cannot Delete Backup. This backup cannot be deleted at this time". I have tried this several times over the past few days and I always get the same answer.

Sep 30, 2015 7:48 PM in response to MalinPlaisirby samfink,I tried to reset the Network settings as well, which was no help...now I have to go back and re-input passwords. In reviewing 12 pages of posts, virtually everything has been tried, including restoring iphones, restoring settings, logging in and out of Icloud, deleting back-ups, etc. etc. I found that by deleting the old back-up through iTunes, and renaming my iPhone, I was able to get exactly one backup under 9.01 (I have since upgraded to 9.02). It will not backup further. Other users have resorted to prayer, incantations, and asking for a blessing from the Dali Lama. Nevertheless, this is a big bug which is Apple's fault...we as users are not going to be able to fix it until we get iOS software that works correctly. My recommendation is that everyone quit wasting their times, and go back to their day jobs...this one is on Apple and will not be solvable by its users, although I am very appreciative of everyone's hard work and input!

Sep 30, 2015 8:35 PM in response to saeed.aymanby Jonathan Migdow,I Installed the 9.02 update, and still can not back up iPhone 6 to iCloud. Has anyone had success?

Oct 1, 2015 12:15 AM in response to MalinPlaisirby saeed.ayman,To delete old backup, follow these steps:
1- Go to Settings-->iCloud-->Storage-->Manage Storage-->Select your device that you are having problems backing up.
2- Wait for the spinning wheel to finish (loading icon beside backup options). THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT (for some reason!).
3- Scroll down and click "Show all apps" (it's stupid, but trust me this is the only way I could do it)
4- Scroll all the way down, and click "Delete Backup" and then confirm deleting. If you got an error message saying that "the backup can't be deleted, try again later" that means you didn't wait enough. Let it finish loading.

Oct 1, 2015 12:35 AM in response to saeed.aymanby Papaylan,You can also use the iCloud window in [Preferrence Systems Settings] on your Mac. As for me I was unable to delete the old backup using my iDevices but could do that via the iMac.

Oct 1, 2015 9:46 AM in response to saeed.aymanby opclive,Thank you for posting this. After 3 conversations with an Apple Senior Tech it still wasn't resolved, even after updating to 9.0.1.
In frustration I googled the problem and followed your instructions and deleted my one and only back up on my new iPhone 6S, and voila, now I'm backing up to iCloud with no errors! So thank you for sharing the information. When the Senior Tech calls back I'll be sure to give him these instructions!
