Sep 30, 2015 7:50 PM in response to danielidcby Wayne V. Hall,It appears that everything in my POP - inbox (received ever since time began) and sent - before the upgrade. One of the first things I did was go check the settings, and it seems that some of the required settings in the advance section are completely missing. This is likely the issue. I certainly hope they get it fixed, like yesterday. I live and die by my email on this machine, so this is SOOOOOOO NOT COOL!

Sep 30, 2015 7:53 PM in response to Wayne V. Hallby dianeoforegon,Do this test to verify Verizon still works with Mail using POP.
CREATE A NEW USER
Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Users & Groups.
Switch to the New User by logging out under the Apple in the Menu Bar.
You can skip logging in with your Apple ID.
Open Mail from the Dock.
Add your Verizon account.
You can watch the messages download using the Activity Window in Mail.
Under Window in the Menu bar, select Activity.
When the download is complete, do you see all your emails in your Inbox.
I'm seeing odd issues with Gmail POP accounts in El Capitan Mail. After users asked about connection issues after upgrading, I tested my Gmail as POP. Gmail Settings would not even allow me to select use as POP. I suspect that Mail as well as Gmail as blocked using Gmail as POP now.

There are no issues with the mail as I am getting the email saying that you have all replied in these forums.
