Q: ipad 2 frozen after 9.0.1 upgrade

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

• Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
• Press and hold on the Home button
• Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this will erase the data from your device.

I had same issue (iPad hadn’t been used for a while so was on 4.3.5). I spent days trying everything, took it to Apple who couldn’t fix it and offered to replace it another iPad 2 for £200! Their final advice was sell it for parts on eBay.

I have since found a fix to get it running again. I haven’t however been able to update it to a later version of IOS (have tried 5,6,7,8,9 without joy) so will have to stay on 4.3.5. I am planning to use Apple’s recycle programme to get a credit towards an iPad mini anyway now that it’s working.

So to fix it I used the software below and clicked on the unlock button

After updating my iPad 2 3G to iOS 9, I tried to update to 9.0.1.

Since 9.0.1, my iPad is stuck on the iTunes logo.

If I connect the iPad to my laptop, then iTunes does not "see" the iPad, so I cannot restore or update it.

In Windows Device Manager, I can see the iPad, but it's recognized as "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)".

As I in a remote area, without Apple Store, could you please try to help me?
