Q: How do I sync iPhone 5 Notes to my iMac

I want to sync my Notes from iPhone 5 to my iMac. I understand OS no longer does this and that I must use iCloud. I've gone to my iCloud and it shows that I am to sync Notes but how do I get that to happen? It doesn't seem to be syncing Notes. Help!

    What version of iOS do you have on your phone and what OS X on your Mac?

    Normally you just need to go to Settings > iCloud on your phone and turn Notes to on and go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > iCloud on your Mac and turn Notes to on.

    However, if you upgraded to the new Notes on iOS 9 before you upgrade to El Capitan on your Mac then the notes will not sync to your Mac until you upgrade. See Before you upgrade your notes - Apple Support

    Thank you. Unfortunately when I was trying to do something with my Settings on my iPhone my phone automatically downloaded IOS 9. Normally I would have waited a while to do that. Guess I'll have to wait now until I upgrade to El Capitan.
