I see that you are having some issues with Siri currently. Here is an article for you with some suggestions for addressing this issue:
Get help with Siri
- If "Hey Siri" isn't working, make sure that "Hey Siri" is turned on under Settings > General > Siri.
- Siri might say, "Sorry, I'm having trouble connecting to the network," or "Try again in a little while." This is probably a network issue. Check your Internet connection and try again later.
- If Siri isn't available or responding to questions, see the next section.
If Siri isn't available, or doesn't understand or respond to questions
After each step, see if you still need help:
- Make sure that your iOS device has an Internet connection through Wi-Fi or cellular data.
- On your iOS device, make sure that Siri is turned on under Settings > General > Siri.
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
- On your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Siri and turn off Siri. Then turn it on again.
- Make sure that the microphones on your device aren't blocked. For example, if your device has a protective case, remove it.
- If you're using an iOS device, try to use Siri with a headset. If Siri works, get more help with the microphones on your device.
- Contact Apple Support.

Sep 26, 2015 11:02 AM in response to braden85by JacoZA,Hey braden85,
Thanks for the response. I managed to solve the problem. It seems like Siri was not allowed to be accessed when the device was locked: Settings>Touch ID & Passcode>Siri (under the "ALLOW ACCESS WHEN LOCKED" tab) and turn Siri ON.
Thanks once again and have an awesome day!

Oct 1, 2015 9:50 PM in response to braden85by Azjudy1,I've tried all your suggestions and Siri is still quiet. It works fine on my iPad, but when I press the button on my iPhone it's silent....no "hello" greeting. The problem didn't start until I upgraded to 9.0.1. I now have IOS 9.0.2 on both devices but still have the Siri problem on my phone! HELP
