Q: Login is extremely slow

Hi,

I just upgraded Yosemite to El Capitan and it looks like it wasn't a good idea because of the login problems. (I'm using a Logitech K760 keyboard and a Logitech MX Performance mouse.) When I type the password on the Mac's keyboard I need to wait about 5 seconds until I see the anything in the password field, but on the external keyboard it's fast. The external mouse working but the touchpad don't... so when I type my password and click to login I need to wait about 3 minutes for the login. I know sometimes it takes some time if FileVault is turned on, but there's nothing like a loading bar, only a freezed mouse pointer.

Do you have any idea what's wrong with my mac?

    It is possible you have an incompatible 3rd party product installed that is affecting behavior.

    Please post the EtreCheck output

    I unplugged my sdcard, external display, WD My Book for Mac because I thought their drivers are out of date, but didn't help.

    These kernel extensions imply they were written for Leopard (10.5) and Mountain Lion (10.8).  It is possible that they are not playing nice with El Capitan.

    You should boot into Safe mode and see if the performance is still slow

    <http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1564>

    as Safe mode will not load the 3rd party additions.

    You may want to go through the different 3rd party additions EtreCheck displays and either make sure they are the latest El Capitan compatible versions or remove them if you no longer need them.
