Oct 2, 2015 1:02 PM in response to ck22leighby rkaufmann87,Look under the stand, the sn on my 2011 27" iMac is located there. Also, while it's water under the bridge now. What I do is keep critical information like that as a contact on my iPhone. That way just in case I have issues, it's always available.

Oct 2, 2015 5:51 PM in response to rkaufmann87by ck22leigh,hey thanx for reply. snap i had data on other devices - got 12 plus apples crashed out in one hit ( mac pros . ipads , iphones , imacs ) some mad *** crash and all disk failures LAN sever at house down and all raids etc screwed. basically all data needs to be recovered. have ran many recovery processes.
stand base- nope. would be great if yes.
my point was at some stage which i have been trying to track back to , when using itunes / or booking in genius bar appointment for repair(s) / or in my apple id account - it showed my device information : for example - hey you got x apple tv's , x iphones , x i pads , x imac;s etc etc . you could then drill into that information and get serial.
I just wanted to get that data for when sending off machines / hardware to repair I could include in the inform to technicians / shops etc.
does anyone know where that can be accessed as now going thru itunes and or apple account and or i cloud i cant see devices data. some yes , but maybe due to crash out and fact most machines are now dead so to speak they not synching to icloud or with apple id as they were originally set up.
I recovered data , done all re imaging etc , reloaded osx etc all tat jazz. not having it. so just was trying to with a non start up set of machines trying to locate serials.
no don't have the obvious either such as bills , receipts at my current location without getting a flight which cant do for some time.
normally I got to apple store , tell them my id - they hey they got all my devices / hardware listed under my apple ID.
if anyone with me here then you might see the gaps in the advice . and the specific nature of the problem.
thanx for any help in advance
smiles:)
