Oct 2, 2015 2:41 PM in response to Afventerby jonfromgoole,I had similar problem, to get out of the issue i simply used Time machine and went back 2 days to before i loaded ElCapitain. I then found a thread about a similar problem where the loading bar sticks at 90% when ElCaptain has been loaded and there is a very detailed explanation of what to do to fix this problem. I therefore followed this step by step cleaning out all the old caches etc takes about 15 minutes to do this. I then did a reboot. to get a clean start and checked everything was working okay. I then forced a new Time Machine back up. I then downloaded ElCaptain again. Did the reboot at the end of the install now Problem sorted.

Oct 15, 2015 12:26 AM in response to Afventerby RcfNZ,Same problem, same iMac. Trying to re-install but the app store is down. Not sure about the data question, but given the mess at the moment I wouldn't re-install Yosemite over the top, unless from Time Machine. What an update.
EDIT - Just read elsewhere you can't reinstall Yosemite again without wiping the disk first, so Time Machine would be the way?

Oct 15, 2015 12:27 AM in response to kamotekaby petermac87,You need to post the entire etrecheck report back in your own thread. This is someone else thread and posting here will only confuse their issue.
Cheers
Pete
