Oct 3, 2015 7:49 AM in response to Rasby Nanuschka,This is exactly my situation, same hard and software, same error message. I have received no reply from Apple. Have you?

Oct 4, 2015 6:16 AM in response to Rasby Brianfit,★HelpfulThis worked for me:
1) First make sure your system date is correct. This wasn't my problem but apparently is the #1 cause of this error message. Open a Terminal window (Applications > Terminal) and type: sudo ntpdate -u time.apple.com Try the install again. (If your download was successful, you'll have an application in your application folder called "Install OS X El Capitan.app" -- click that to start the install process. If you don't find that file, your download was incomplete.)
2) If you still get the same error message, close your App store app if it's open and type this in the Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
3. Open your App store app. You now have a "Debug" menu. Click on that and "Show Download Folder"
Delete everything in com.apple.appstore Close the App store app.
4. Delete the application "Install OS X El Capitan"
5. Restart
Your Appstore Updates page should now read "Free Upgrade" instead of "Downloaded" and you're good to go.

Oct 4, 2015 4:12 PM in response to Nanuschkaby Ras,Nothing from Apple or this list... even after sending the Log file to Apple.
I have made a El Capitan bootable USB drive and have installed El Capitan from there, however it boots and stays on the Apply screen with a progress bar about 3/4 finished for a real long time 2-3 hours???? I can reboot in Safe-Mode and can use El Capitan but very slowly....

Oct 12, 2015 4:17 AM in response to Brianfitby Marco Langhorst,Thank you! The system date seemed to be my problem. Finally it is installing El Capitan through recovery mode.
