Sep 28, 2015 11:53 PM in response to starkewjby Russ-man,Same exact problem here too running a 6s plus on 9.0.1. Other users are having issues after updating to 9.0 or higher. I think it's a software issue.

Sep 29, 2015 4:40 AM in response to starkewjby MrHarryB,I have been experiencing the same issue on the Beta and now full iOS 9.0.1, this is a huge inconvenience, and I really hope a solution is found soon.

Sep 29, 2015 7:40 AM in response to starkewjby willyps,Same here. And definitely not an isolated issue. Seems restoring doesn't work.
No solution:

Solution: remove/add back cards

Tried unsuccessfully:
- Removing/adding back card
- Disabling/enabling Touch ID for Apple Pay
Haven't tried Reset All Settings.

Oct 1, 2015 5:44 AM in response to willypsby justin2691234,I am having the same issue, even after restoring my phone and setting up as "new." I have the 6 Plus 9.0.1. This has been the worst update.

Oct 1, 2015 7:55 AM in response to starkewjby Russ-man,I was able to get Apple Pay to work by removing the cards, waiting about 1 hour, and then re-adding them again. The only difference was that I was required to call Discover and Chase to confirm my cards. Previously, I just needed confirmation #'s sent as SMS.
I'm sure this is a bug in iOS 9.0 and greater. Feel free to post back if you guys have any other questions and do my best to help!

Oct 3, 2015 5:35 PM in response to starkewjby cdurham90,Same exact problem. Tried Apple Pay on 3 separate occasions just today in Chicago. Never worked...I was simply prompted for Touch ID or Passcode, and using a combination of both, the transaction never went through (tried both Discover and Captial One Visa several times on each separate attempt). This is very annoying. iPhone 6S. Fresh install of iOS 9.0.2. No iCloud restore after wiping out, added both credit cards back in manually. Apple Pay is broken

Oct 3, 2015 5:41 PM in response to starkewjby Jonathan UK,Whenever you try to use Apple Pay in a store and experience a failed transaction, consider reporting it to Apple here:
https://www.apple.com/feedback/apple-pay.html
The form enables you to report issues with specific merchants, transactions and payment cards.

Oct 5, 2015 6:50 AM in response to starkewjby MrHarryB,My issue was fixed by doing a system setting reset, it's now working as usual.

Oct 7, 2015 4:58 AM in response to starkewjby rhayn,I did a full system reset and it fixed the issue. The other thing I did at the same time was confirm that my billing address was set on each card. None of them were set and I think that was the main problem. I am back up and running now.

Oct 8, 2015 6:56 PM in response to starkewjby wiifitmii,OK same issue here tonight at Panera Bread. What is concerning is that I am getting the green "check" and tone after the reader scans my phone yet the cashier does not get a payment. So naturally I tried several times (wondering if I'm being charge redundantly). I checked and I was not.
Previously had an issue when trying to reload my Starbucks app and the transaction was declined. I don't know if the two issues are related but I removed the credit card in question and then added it back without really knowing what the actual issue was. Keep in mind you will lose your transaction records when you remove the original card. This obviously did not cure the problem unless there was user error by the cashier tonight at Paneras seems unlikely.
My initial thought weeks ago was that this was either a software issue or possibly something to do with the EMV chip on my Chase card. Most banks are issuing credit cards with the new secure chip regardless of your old cards expiration. Along with the new card I noticed the security code was different than my original card. Therefore I thought it would make sense to remove the old card and add the new one, with the new security number.
I reset my phone and perhaps I will remove the card and wait several hours before re entering the new one again to see if this works.
Also I checked my billing addresses for all of my cards in Apple Pay were up to date prior to this issue so I would rule that out as a cause.

Jan 6, 2016 7:26 AM in response to starkewjby IvorTHorn,I was having the same issue. Finger print works on everything (phone unlock, amazon, itunes etc). I have to say (despite being sceptical) that removing the fingerprint setup and adding it all back in again, including each card, worked for me too.
I did notice that the fingerprint enrollment was different to when I first did it, so maybe its to do with a change in the system since I originally enrolled.

Jan 12, 2016 11:04 AM in response to IvorTHornby DVDGenie2008,Hey guys I'm having an apple pay issue as well, mine is slightly different though. My iPhone 6 won't even wake up up when in the presence of the scanner like it used to. I can double tap the button to bring up the cards but it doesn't respond at the scanner but recognizes the finger print, and i get the tone if i use a wrong finger. Running iOS 9.2, I had no issues at all with iOS 8x, and this is a fresh install of iOS.
Any ideas ? thanks
