Oct 3, 2015 4:16 PM in response to oooliveeeby JackBeliveau,I have this problem also, however, I seem to have found that it caused by the magnet in my case. If I insert the phone upside down, it doesn't happen.

Oct 4, 2015 5:18 AM in response to James Sepeby JackBeliveau,I think the 6s is suseptible to magnetic fields causing the processor to drop a bit and then crash. I found this happens only when I place it in my case with the screen facing the magnetic latch.

Oct 4, 2015 5:42 AM in response to oooliveeeby dealmaker,I Have been having the same problem with one of our 128gb 6S plus models (though strangely only one of them exhibits the problem). Mine is accompanied with a red hot home button - seems others have this issue:-
My iPhone 6s home button is really hot and the device won't turn on

Oct 4, 2015 6:22 AM in response to oooliveeeby united24,What to do now? Waiting for Software fix? I am running on 9.1 beta 3, so this is the latest what you can get
From Apple.
Or is it more Hardware related?
-
Oct 4, 2015 6:46 AM in response to JackBeliveauby MiniOhh,No, nothing with magnetic fields.
It happens without case aswell.
iPhone 4, 5 ans 6 Users reports the same problems. So it have to be a software problem.
-
Oct 4, 2015 6:58 AM in response to united24by Joachim Frey,I think it's software related, because if I close all my Apps in the evening before going to bed, the phone was ok next morning.
Only if I didn't close all Apps, I had the issue with the black screen and the hot Home button next morning.
I can only recommend to call Apple and let them do a remote diagnose on your phone, so they get more data from the affected phones.

Last thing I used it for was calling a taxi cab. When I was at home, the screen was black and I had to make the usual hard reset.
