Q: Notes not syncing properly since upgrade

I have just upgraded all my devices to Yosemite v 10.10.5 and since making this change, my notes are not syncing properly from my Mac Book Pro via iCloud to my iPhone 6. Has anyone else had this problem?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.2

If you upgraded Notes on your iPhone when you upgraded to iOS 9, there should have been a warning.

 

There was about a 2 week period when the new features in Notes were available via iOS 9 on the iOS devices before they were possible on the Mac because the new OS X for the Mac wasn't out yet.

 

El Capitan is Mac OS X 10.11 -- it is the OS X after Yosemite and was just released on September 30. It is available via Apple menu > App Store > then click Updates in the bar at the top.

    Your signature indicates that your iPhone 6 is running iOS 8.2, but just in case that is out of date and you have upgraded to iOS 9, note that if you upgraded to the new Notes in iOS 9 then they will not sync with a Mac that is not running El Capitan: Before you upgrade your notes - Apple Support

    Hi FoxFifth, thanks for the speedy reply. Yes, I upgraded all devices and Mac Book at the same time. Mobile is running 9.0.2. so what you're saying explains the problem. I didn't see any warnings about this when I upgraded the software. Did I miss something?

     

    Anyhow, are you saying that I should now download El Capitain - this is the first I've heard about this. Is it just an ordinary download from itunes or is a 3rd party software?
