Sep 25, 2015 7:40 AM in response to TugMarinerby mveras1972,Since you have an iPad Air 2, it follows that support is provided for sketching in notes in iOS 9. However, if you had an older iPad you won't have the sketch options regardless whether you store notes in iCloud or not.

Sep 25, 2015 7:52 AM in response to bobseufertby mveras1972,That's strange because I've been using my gmail.com address as my iCloud account and I've been using Notes for years like that. In fact, I've never used an iCloud.com address.

Sep 25, 2015 5:11 PM in response to bobseufertby mveras1972,I understand that, but what I am telling you is that I never needed to do that in earlier iOS versions. My Apple ID has always been @gmail.com and I had my Notes app synced to iCloud. I have never used a @icloud.com address ever all these years.

Oct 1, 2015 3:53 AM in response to Chenbmacby Froodster99,Although I'd love to have sketch for notes on my 3rd Gen iPad, I can understand that older devices may not be able to support all new features. I just wish I didn't have to spend a week trawling the internet to find that out.

Oct 4, 2015 11:43 PM in response to Chenbmacby Valorageous,NO I don't think so .. I did tried out the sketch mode using my iPad mini first gen. It is only today that I realised its gone. Not sure if it's due to me logging in via desktop to icloud to access my notes or did Apple disabled the feature during the latest update?

Oct 5, 2015 12:01 AM in response to bobseufertby Valorageous,I see, if that's the case I'm not sure how to explain that I did tried that on my first gen iPad mini. it runs smoothly too. Probably Apple disabled it somehow ): what a way to do it ....
