Oct 5, 2015 1:10 AM in response to Valorageousby bobseufert,TP bad you didn't get a screenshot, strange things have been known to happen. Do you have Notes on your computer and could somehow Notes got on your iPad by iCloud ? Do you remember if when you first updated to IOS 9 did you get a message to update Notes ?

Oct 5, 2015 2:01 AM in response to Chenbmacby LOHLAM,Hi there, the sketch feature only appears when in the folders view, and you are in the "ON MY IPAD" section. In the bottom right hand corner of your screen should be found a squiggly line icon, once pressed the drawing tools should be visible. You may need to create a note to see the icon originally.

Oct 5, 2015 8:37 AM in response to Chenbmacby Philipntx,It looks like it has nothing to do with iCloud settings. I don't have iCloud sync turned on on my iPad 3rd gen. I had the squiggly lines showing in the lower right-hand corner to add a sketch, but no indication that I could make a checklist. Turns out I had to display the keyboard and allow the auto-fill, auto-correct, suggestions bar (or whatever the heck it's called) to be displayed also. Lo and behold there is the checkbox button option along with a couple of other options.
If you see a single dash of a line above your keyboard swipe up on it to display the bar that I'm talking about. It will then have the correct options.

Oct 5, 2015 9:55 AM in response to Philipntxby nirajfrombangalore,Strange that Squiggly lines are appearing in the iPad 3rd generation for Notes. I have tried all what is possible but could not get the squiggly lines.

Oct 7, 2015 12:53 AM in response to johncarreraby johncarrera,Senior Moment Notes did NOT show new features - it was the App Notepad where free hand writing is possible
Sorry for any confusion.

Oct 7, 2015 1:50 AM in response to johncarreraby bobseufert,Thanks for the clarification. Don't give it a second thought. With all the different models getting different features it was a easy mistake to make.

Oct 10, 2015 9:00 PM in response to bobseufertby cecilia255,TThank you so much, didn't understand until I saw your drawing depicting where the squiggle was to access the sketch portion of Notes feature.

Oct 10, 2015 9:09 PM in response to cecilia255by bobseufert,You're welcome. A second way, with the keyboard down the squiggle should be in the lower right of the scree.

Oct 15, 2015 5:42 AM in response to Chenbmacby Bentleyalivia,IM not sure if this has already been resolved but whoever said you have to have a 4th gen iPad is absolutely WRONG. I have an iPad mini 3 and if you follow the directions by sergzak, the drawing feature WILL WORK. As long as you have upgraded your notes app and follow sergzak's instructions theres absolutely no reason why you would have an issue. Again, I'm using the iPad mini 3 and drawing with it in between typing in this forum.

Oct 15, 2015 6:34 AM in response to Bentleyaliviaby bobseufert,The iPad mini3 is basically a smaller iPad Air with touch ID. The quote below is from the User Guide.
“Note: The sketching feature is available with upgraded notes on iPad (4th generation), iPad Air (all models), and iPad mini 2 and later.”

Oct 20, 2015 10:43 AM in response to Chenbmacby theolson,This feature appears and disappears. When it disappears, you're left with a white screen and a scrolling wheel at the top. I haven't seen anyone's mention of that fact. It's as though it doesn't know which account, iCloud, or On This iPad, to draw the Note sketch. But I think that's the problem, a hangup with how to assign the sketch to an account.
