Oct 2, 2015 1:44 PM in response to GucciBuickby Pizzamaker,hi, it is very frustrating knowing that something that was fine on iOS 8.4 has now stopped working.
IPhones are are made all over the world, my daughters is an a1429 or something like that made in China. Maybe the different regions they are made makes a difference?
Hopefully they will fix it soon.

Oct 2, 2015 2:30 PM in response to Pizzamakerby ZaphodPrefect,I have the same problem. Two days after updating to 9.0.1 the problems arose one morning...back camera black and unresponsive, flash saying the phone is too hot and the flashlight not working.
I think it's amazing and pathetic that Apple hasn't replied saying they'll look into it or anything. The camera is a major feature of the iPhone. I'd love to hear that they are at least looking into it. It's clearly not a hardware problem unless the software has permanently bricked our cameras.

Oct 3, 2015 4:47 AM in response to Pointebasicby danyboy2012,Same here. Rear camera black unresponsive and flash not working at all while front camera works fine. In short terms same simptopms as other customers reported. Prior the update everything worked fine, I was using camera for recording with flash approximately half an hour before update. Updated from iOS 8.4 to 9.0.2. Tried everything suggested 'till now but the problem persist. Any new information is welcome.

Oct 3, 2015 7:28 AM in response to Pointebasicby Amit@25,GGot in touch with apple support yesterday, they said they are aware of the issue and working on it. They made me restore my iPhone and said if it did not work. should get back in touch with them. Now i am not able to get through them and am feeling stranded. So much for buying an iphone. does any one have the ceo's email id could at least let him know what a puddle they have created for us and named it IOS 9

Oct 3, 2015 7:37 AM in response to Pointebasicby corinna1,I recently took my phone to my local repair shop, Fix that Mac in Berkeley, as I needed the camera to be working before a trip and couldn't wait for an open slot at the Genius bar, as none were available before I left town. [I had chatted with an Apple rep online and he recommended I take the phone in.]
Fix that Mac tried putting in a new camera, and they found that the new camera still didn't work. So they put back in my old camera and it was working. So, the issue still seems enigmatic, but at least my camera is working now. My "old camera" itself was a part installed a few months ago, as my original camera had broken.
I was experiencing the same issues as everyone else - rear camera not working but front camera working after an iOS9 upgrade.

Oct 4, 2015 5:16 AM in response to Pointebasicby Jbongers,Same issue here with Iphone 5, rear camera not working. I had a new camera installed 3 weeks prior to the update to IOS 9 due to dust particles inside the camera. The new camera worked fine until the update to IOS 9.
Rebooting, toggling the low battery mode does not resolve the issue.
Very annoying.... Unfortunately my company does not let me use older releases of IOS, so going back to an older IOS is not an option for me.

Oct 4, 2015 6:07 AM in response to Pointebasicby w.econ,Have the same problem: iphone 5 rear camera stopped working after ios 9 update. Nothing so far helped to fix the problem. Hope Apple will take care of this software problem soon.

Oct 5, 2015 12:05 PM in response to Pointebasicby danipan,iPhone 5 with the same issue. Since updating to iOS9 my rear camera isn't working.
Front camera does work but it takes a while to start up. When I switch to my rear camera (iPhone camera app). I see a warning icon and a popup message saying: "Flash is Disabled - The iPhone needs to cool down before you can use the flash".
Went to the Apple store and they told me that the camera is broken because i have some dents on the right corner of my phone.... I understand their point of view. However, its strange to see that many other have the same issue after updating to iOS9.
Hope Apple will come with a update, and fix the issue !

Oct 5, 2015 12:36 PM in response to Jbongersby Pizzamaker,Did you toggle low power on and off, and then restart?
it takes a few seconds to register that's why I left low power on for 30 seconds before switching it off again, then switched the phone off and back on.

Oct 6, 2015 1:23 PM in response to Pointebasicby rachierose22,Having the exact same issue. I actually just received a new 5C since my other one was still covered under Apple Care. Camera was working fine before iOS 9 update. Apple, please address this issue, in addition to the crawling speed my phone now works at. I am attempting the "low power mode" method and will let you know if I have any success.

Oct 6, 2015 1:25 PM in response to rachierose22by rachierose22,The low power method seemed to do the trick, thanks! Hopefully, the camera will stay functioning correctly.
