Sep 24, 2015 6:41 AM in response to julianafreitagby RichnBaltimore,I just got a replacement iPhone 6 plus because the IOS 9 update destroyed my operating system so the phone had to be replaced. Anyway, my music is in Itunes, however it will not sync to my new phone. My new phone is showing in Itunes, and when I click on music on my phone, you see them there un-highligted or faded. You can't play them. The phone itself has no music. I can play my music on the computer thru icloud, but that's it. Help! I also don't have the Icloud music option in settings

Sep 25, 2015 9:35 PM in response to julianafreitagby school boyfromchicago,I don't have "iCloud Music Library" on my iPhone 6 Plus either. After a few hours of doing different things, I ran a Diagnosis in iTunes. Help > Run Diagnosis. Magically started syncing all my music finally.

Oct 2, 2015 8:07 PM in response to julianafreitagby PicitupDesign,I had the same problem as some of you.
I also didn't have the "iCloud Music Library" option so the solution wasn't helpful to me. I did however figure out my problem, all my albums had been thrown out of the iTunes folder and into my music folder, iTunes simply couldn't locate them. Once I placed them all back where iTunes thought they were ... it started working! I had to untick all my music ... sync (with nothing ticked)... then I ticked them again and they all synced perfectly.
I'm not sure how this happened but hopefully this might help some of you?

Oct 8, 2015 4:40 AM in response to julianafreitagby Bite of my apple,I thought I was having the same problem as well but discovered that if you right click on the album, "get info" then "edit items" check the track numbers
if there is a dash where there should be a 1 change it, save it and see how you go.
It worked for me, I can now transfer them across to my IPhone 6
Hope this helps you

Nov 16, 2015 6:57 AM in response to julianafreitagby Lennyb5942,I tried this approach without success. My iCloud has been off the whole time. Any other suggestions?

Dec 7, 2015 5:56 AM in response to Lennyb5942by DonSimon76,I was having the same problem for a long while now with my 5th gen (4th gen and Classic worked fine though, strange) and then went and upgraded to a 128Gb 6th but still had the same problem. It either would eventually finish but not actually copy and music over and wind up with those gray circles and missing music OR it would start transferring and then lose connection.
My collection is rather huge so I decided to give something a try. Originally, I had my OS and programs on an SSD and everything else data related was on a traditional spinning drive. I had an SSD lying around unused so I installed it and moved the iTunes folder (the one with the library files, backups, media folders, etc) to the SSD. I also moved all of my music to the SSD. Was able to migrate everything without losing play counts etc. Now, iTunes is no longer lagging when using it, it opens and closes quickly and every sync I have tried has worked flawlessly! Totally strange. I ran tests on the original data spinner drive and everything came up fine. I am just thrilled to actually be able to reliably sync my iPod again!
Made me wonder if the iPhone issue that seems very much alike would also now be fixed. Just wanted to throw it out there.

Dec 16, 2015 4:23 PM in response to julianafreitagby docsuess,So I have been checking the boards and google and all the fixes listed were not working for my iPhone 6plus. Then I noticed that I could scroll down on this page and when I unselected the "sync only checked songs and videos" box, then when I hit sync in iTunes it worked. Don't know if this will fix your problem but it magically fixed mine! Note I am in iTunes, I have selected my device and then Summary and then scrolled down to unselect the "Sync only...." box.

Dec 19, 2015 2:26 AM in response to AronA98by Evorichie101,First post here so hopefully help someone.
I Have bee working through all the possible solutions this morning to no avail. Finally got it to work by right clicking the music I wanted to sync and selecting "add to playlist" one of the options is "phone" so clicked this and it automatically added to my phone (iPhone 5).
only had 2 albums to transfer so done them individually so not to sure if you can bulk select more albums??
might help someone out as it worked for me!!!
just to note I had already turned the iCloud libraries OFF on both my phone and laptop.

Dec 22, 2015 6:53 PM in response to c.goldby livefree75,This worked for me, but now I can't re-enable the iCloud Music Library afterward.
It tells me that I have to either "Merge" or "Replace" but no matter what I click, it turns it back off.

Dec 28, 2015 6:29 AM in response to julianafreitagby BigTexScotty,I had this issue and I tried all other solutions I found but none worked. One however, suggested the issue was with the USB driver. That solution didn't work either but I tried to sync over Wi-Fi and it worked.
In iTunes, go to Device>Options>Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi
In the device, go to Settings> General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync>Sync Now
I hope this helps!
