Q: finder not responding after upgrading to El Capitan 10.11

When I attempt to change folders, I get the spinning disc pointer and it stays like that for hours if I let it.

Relaunching finder clear the hang, but does not resolve the problem. I'm unable to change folders.

My recycle bin is empty and I've successfully run disk utility first aid for all hard drives.

Hi BootsieMississauga,

Getting an extended spinning cursor when changing folders would really slow down using the computer. Thanks for running Disk First Aid on the drives. Have you tried anything else since then like Safe Boot?
