It sounds like you are not able to print from your MacBook Air to the printer you have connected to your Mac mini via USB. Checking the sharing preferences and re adding the printer is a great place to start. Next I would update the drivers on both computers with the Mac App store:

If the issue persists then I would next continue troubleshooting with these two steps from the following article testing the issue after each step:
- Reset the printing system ...
- Rename the folder at /Library/Printers:
- From the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder. Then type
/Libraryand click Go. - Click once on the Printer folder to select it, then press Return to begin renaming the folder. Type
Printers-old, then press Return to save the new name.
- From the Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder. Then type

As I said, I've checked updates for both drivers, checked the sharing prefs, and re-added the printer.
I tried resetting the printing system, and renaming the Printers folder.
No change.
I wonder what else I can try?
