Oct 5, 2015 2:25 AM in response to corvairkidby corvairkid,I received a suggestion from the Microsoft Support Community, to create a new email user account and see if that fixed the problem.
That seemed to fix it, but after a short time (a few hours) the problem returned.
To be more precise, it is an intermittent problem. Sometimes the window size remains as it should, other times it shrinks down to a much smaller size for no reason.
Anyone else having this issue?

Oct 9, 2015 1:38 PM in response to hps52by cas2tgdfgdtrghrgew53gtdgfrhfge,This is not restricted to Outlook 2016 - I am also seeing this in all Adobe Products - it's affecting the dialogue windows when the Finder is called (i.e.: id I select file open, resize the window - it randomly goes back to a very small window).

Oct 21, 2015 9:10 AM in response to corvairkidby Undercover101,Having the same issue on office 2016 apps, I resize to full screen, once I hit X and reopen the window is resized back to small. Easy to fix it back but still very annoying.

Oct 22, 2015 4:48 AM in response to Undercover101by corvairkid,I updated my operating system yesterday to El Capitan ver. 10.11.1.
I read in the update description that fixes had been made for users of Outlook 2016.
The update didn't solve my issue.
Outlook 2011 window size is NOT being remembered after closing and reopening.
Please help.

Oct 26, 2015 9:49 AM in response to corvairkidby aero1247e,Have the same issue with Outlook 2016. Also the latest El Capitan and Office updates did not resolve the issues. Very annoying bug. My work-around is to hide the window instead of closing it. Then it seems to remember position and size.

Oct 29, 2015 10:58 AM in response to corvairkidby Crayzbrian,It isn't just with restoring window after close, this also happens to me on a secondary display when I try to maximize the window using an app like Moom, BetterTouchTool, SnapTool or Customize Layout. it only happens on one display of the three external displays I have plugged into my MBPro 15 retina. But, it automatically resizes to a smaller height. The width seems fine. I've disabled all my login items To test. This also happens if I just try to resize the window by mouse double arrow. So, it is most likely not a 3rd party app that is causing this. Any ideas?
