Q: Mouse stops working at random in El Capitan
I have a late 2008 Mac Pro running El Capitan for a few days now and everything works except the mouse; the mouse service stops working. I tried disabling the "shake mouse to locate" feature but that did not fix the problem.
I was using a USB mouse but then switched to an Apple Wireless mouse (Bluetooth) and the same thing happens only now I get a nice message on the screen alerting me that the mouse was disconnected, awesome!
Any help will be greatly appreciated as I don;t want to go back to Yosemite.
Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

No third party mouse drivers.
I did have a Microsoft wireless touch mouse and a regular Microsoft USB mouse installed, but I did not install any drivers manually. Unless they got installed automatically without my knowledge.
I have to report that when I made this post, my newly installed Apple Magic Mouse (Bluetooth) had just stopped working so I assumed it was the same problem, however after replacing the batteries on it, I have not had any issues at all with it.
I have not tried with an Apple branded USB mouse so I'm not sure the problem is only with other brands and I happen to only have two Microsoft mice so I am not sure what the problem is.
As far as I'm concerned it' working now so I guess I fixed it myself but using an Apple branded device, weird right? Or is it?
