Q: Canon Pixma ip4000

Has anyone tried using this printer on OSX 10.9 yet? Does it work? I emailed Canon customer support and they say it is not supported by 10.9, which is annoying to say the least. I don't want to get get rid of a decent printer just because Canon haven't updated the driver for Mavericks.

Hi Bengkel, can you tell me if the IP4000 driver download you suggest works with El Capitan ? Did you get it from this site yourself ?

Hello akmeb. I ve got El Capitan too and i was worried about the the same issue. I ve just downloaded the drivers for canon ip4200 printer which are compatible with previous OS just like OS X Lion v10.7 and work perfect.

Try to download canon ip4000 drivers from here https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/suppo rt-inkjet-printer/ip-series/pixma-ip4000…

Maybe will works for you too.
