Q: Saving a shared album to my library as a new album

When I am saving a shared album to my library as a new album not all the photos are in the new album.

My process:

I open the shared album, highlight 1 photo and hit command A to highlight all. I then open File and hit New Album.

I give it a Album name and hit enter.

One day it saved my New Album to Photo Events in my Library.

Another day it saved my New Album to Albums in my Library.

As well, not all the photos are copied over.

Any clues?

Hi jdg1014,

I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with Photos. If you are having intermittent and inconsistent behavior when creating new albums in Photos, you may want to try repairing your Photos Library, as outlined in the following article:

You need to first import the photos into the library, Control (right) - click on those selected and select Import from the contextual menu). Go to the Last Import smart album, select all of the photos and create an album for them.
