Q: who else in MAC Land has continuous problems with the new EL CAPITAN??

Is anyone else who owns a Mac of any kind having serious issues with the new OS EL CAPITAN? It seems that the progam really plays a number on my Macbook Pro 2012... I have Sufficient memory and ooodles of space to supposably support this new OS but every single time I try to use my Beats Solo2's I have to constantly reboot my mac... With Yosemite, This was Never the case...

    Any initial release of a new OS X version will have issues and bugs. El Capitan is no different. If that concerns you and you have critical needs then I'd recommend not upgrading until one or two point release updates have been issued. 10.11.1 is in public beta right now and should come out soon which will likely address most of the worst problems that have been identified.

     

    My MacBooks audio keeps flaking out with external speakers connected but other than that I haven't had any major issues.

    Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:

     

    1.  a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM

         b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

     

    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:

     

         Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the

         COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears.

     

    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.

     

         When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the indented Macintosh HD

         entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid button in the toolbar. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return

         to the main menu.

     

    4. Reinstall OS X: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.

     

    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
