Q: Can't Install Windows 10
Hello Community,
I am having trouble installing Windows 10 into a partition on my drive. I have the ISO burned onto a disk, and everytime I reboot and hold (ALT/OPTION) Key, select the disk to boot from (Yes disk, because the older macs do not support flash drives), begin the installation, enter the product key, click format on my desired partition and then I am stopped by a pop-up reading:
" Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table on EFI partition, windows can only be installed to GPT disk..."
I am not able to install GPTFDISK due to compatibility errors with OSX El Capitan. What can I do to fix this wretched problem?
iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Your Mac does not support W10 directly. Install the Windows version compatible with your Mac - W7 or W8+. Once it is installed and activated, you can upgrade to W10. You may see some driver issues, but generic Microsoft drivers may work for you depending on your usage and requirements.
You can also install W10 in a virtual machine using VMware Fusion, Parallels or VirtualBox. This is dependent on whether you want direct access to Apple hardware for your applications or not.
