Q: what is the meaning red frames in the render bar?

had an odd export bug noticed the job failed at the exact same point twice in a row when i checked the project i noticed that where there was a slight card glitch (whcch basically cut what should have been one clip into two in the camera) what looked like a 1 frame gap when i zomed din was appaerently some kind of bad/missing data on the last frame of the first part of the clip. At full zoom i also noticed at the top render bar area sever frames into the next clip were red but looked valid. When i chopped the last fram of the first clip all of the other frames lost the red status.

So my  what exactly does this color mean?

PS I will be generous with points or any klews.

It doesn't mean anything. It's a display error. What version are you using?

Weird. I haven't seen that one in a while. It might be media specific or something else, but it doesn't seem to affect anything, other than the timeline ruler.

You used Send to Compressor, and that's the point it failed.

Hello, I am using version 10.2.2 and I have the same red stripe. I actualized my version two days ago and when I imported the projects to the new version I had this sorprise...

I can not play the clips that are under this line, well it plays a black with audio. And there is no way to replace it. I need to edit it and make some adjustments.

I have the project in full HD, but I had a problem camera and I had to record some clips at 720p. So, are exactly this clips which are causing problems.

How can I resolve it? Thank you!

Please post a screenshot of your timeline so we can get a better sense of what you're describing.

Hello, here you can see that there is a clip with a good preview and another without it. I have detected that it's a problem of resolutions. Both clips are 720p quality clips in a 1080p project. The one on the left have been replaced at his own timeline importing again the clip and just overwritting it by dragging the new one over the original. Then I can use the clip in the project's timeline again and there is only render to do. On the right one you can see the problem I was describing. When you play it you can hear audio, but video is black.

The thing is that I have recuperated a project edited with and older version of FCP. And I don't want to edit all again. So, if I want to keep my first edition I have to change the original timeline of every cut. You can see in the picture that both clips are the same (one changed and one not). So, even when I arrange the clip, the next time I have used it in the timeline, there are no changes.

But if I take a cut of the new imported clip it works...

So, I have wasted lots of hours changing the timeline of all the clips that where recorded at 720p...

    Thanks,

    Samuel
