Q: Extensions - Can't see INSTALL NOW button in Safari 9

The Install Now button is not visible in the Safari Extensions Gallery. So I cannot install any extensions.

I'm using Safari 9 and El Capitan.

I noticed in a previous discussion labelled: "Extensions - Can't see INSTALL NOW button" the same thing.

Am I having the same .plist problem? IF NOT please advise.

Thanks.

I do. I quit it. The Install button re-appeared and I was able to install a few extensions but when I quit Safari and restarted the button disappeared again:( Thanks for the suggestion. I now suspect the issue may be Keychain related.

This was the solution. I lost all my passwords (I expected it) but they were easy enough to replace from my keychain. Some I had to enter again. I also dragged the files back into the Keychains folder. Everything works fine.

Thanks for sharing your solution Jefferson. Looks like the issue was related to the upgrade. iCloud failed to migrate something important. I went to iCloud in System Prefs too and discovered by unchecking and checking Safari, several other things corrected themselves. Everything is synching properly now.

I struggled with this for 2 weeks, here was the easy answer, at least for me.

I was running AVAST mac security program in the background ... I went to Settings, temporarily disabled all the shields, rebooted Safari and I had immediate access to the INSTALL NOW buttons, worked like a charm.

Disabling the virus scanner, did the trick. I used Avast for OSX
