Getting worse.  I've been told by others that the group has been sending me texts for the past 3 days.   I never received them, nor an influx.   Apple and AT&T both don't know what's wrong.   Not going to factory reset again, so I guess no chatting with mixed group from now on.  Either iPhone groups, or individual non-iPhone, that's all I can do.    Maybe it's time to switch to the other side

My bf figured out a possible fix. Try going to Settings -> Cellular -> Enable LTE. Change it from Voice and Data to just Voice and reboot. He also went into my messages and turned on my text message forwarding  to my ipad (it hasn't been receiving all my messages for awhile). Good luck! I hope it continues to work

I don't see an option to select just Voice, I see Off, Voice & Data, and Data Only.  Did you mean to say Data Only?

Just installed iOS 9.1 beta 4 and still not fixed. I found one fix that gets group text working again but if you do this then you won't received any of the delayed text messages. Turn off group text and mms, power down(don't do a hard reboot holding down power and hold buttons). Boot back up, turn group text and mms back on(if both are already on when you boot back up then this won't work). This got group text working again for me for a short time but somehow stops the missed texts from appearing at a later time. Lately I've just been waiting for the missed text to appear but when they do I'm almost certain I'm not receiving some because the conversations don't make sense.  Shame on you Apple for not resolving this already.

Same problem with Iphone 6,  and Apples latest version of software, I don't receive group messages and get a "service denied" message. Thanks at least I'm not along out there.

Just spent 50 minutes on the phone with Apple for them to confirm they know there is a clear problem, they have no idea how to fix it, there is no timeline for a solution, and I should wait until that is resolved...after they they tried to suggest it was a carrier issue. This was after they acknowledged multiple complaints across carriers. I've been pretty loyal to Apple for quite some time but this is embarrassing.

Same problem here. For me it's in groups where one of the members doesn't have iMessage... Very frustrating. Missing lots of text. I wake up every morning to 50+ texts. I got a new SIM card. Didn't fix it.  Help!

So there has to be some sort of commonality between us. I too have been back and forth between the Apple Store and AT&T several times and each time, it's been the same finger pointing, "it's on their end." I'm having the same issues as everyone else, but here are my stats:

    1. AT&T Carrier (Unlimited Data) - I think this might be the most significant commonality: AT&T.

    2. iPhone 6+ running iOs 9 - updated twice, no beta updates.

    3. iMessaging in Groups is fine - regular texting is ok.

    4. There is some sort of "triggered" text, usually an SMS when everything starts. From that point forward, no group texting or SMS.

    5. Random texts from "Unknown Sender" that say "Service Denied"

HERE is the kicker - I went out and bought a Samsung Edge + earlier to see if that fixed the issue, and when I went to participate in a group text, it did the same thing. I couldn't receive the message "mms" and it started all over again. I immediately received the same "Service Denied" from an "Unknown Address" which tells me it's my carrier and not the phone....

I talked to AT&T for a while yesterday - they had me do a few things that I'd already tried. They said they knew about the problem and that it all started happening with iOS9 update.  Then I spoke with Apple... after trying a few things, they told me they were aware of the problem and all I could was wait for the next update for a fix. A software problem was what they admitted.

Go ahead and open the text , then click details at the upper right corner, then select the (ii Scroll down and select BLOCK CALLER. This will stop the message. Until Apple sends an update for the update...

Well it looks like I have this problem too. I don't normally group text but I am involved in a couple for my daughters softball team. I had iOS 9.0.2 already before this started and was already getting group texts. It's weird that it started today suddenly. I blame it all on the Androids. I also have ATT and an iPhone 6+.
