Aug 9, 2015 6:42 AM in response to Briansyddallby Snapperhead261,Thanks Brian,
Before my iPhone 6 completely went dead, I also noticed it flashing the blue screen several times before dying. Left it on the charger. The trick was to hold both the Home and Power button depressed for nearly 20 secs, then phone rebooted. I connected to the iTunes store and back in business with no further recovery needed. Great time to sync up. Appreciate the support.

Oct 13, 2015 5:40 AM in response to Matthew D.D.by DH45216,The exact same thing just happened to me too. Watching Netflix and nearly full battery and it just shuts off. I started looking at this page and read a little, plug it into a computer and hold the power button and the home button at the same time. I don't know exactly how long, but it did work for me.

Oct 13, 2015 1:22 PM in response to Markuuz14by ellie4930,I had this exact problem with my iphone 6s 64GB. If Apple does read these comments then I hope they fix this quickly because I now regret trading in my 6 for the 6s. I've never had a problem like this before. I was nervous because I thought I was somehow at fault for it not turning on but when I found this thread I held my power button and home button for 10 seconds and it turned back on. I do hope that Apple fixes this soon because I do enjoy their products however, this is a fault that might just have me switch phone brands.

Oct 27, 2015 2:12 PM in response to cr6zym0nkeyizby FarmerAnne,I have the 6s with 64 gb and this just happened to me too! I've had the phone 2 weeks with tempered glass and otterbox case. Thanks for the suggestion to press and hold home key and power. It worked! But a new phone shouldn't be doing this!

Nov 16, 2015 9:00 AM in response to rwbnby Christoaster,This worked when nothing else did, thank you (I have an iPhone 6)! Just plug phone in to your computer via your USB charger cord, launch iTunes (it probably won't recognize your phone), then hold both Power button and the Home (big circle at bottom) button together for 15ish seconds. iTunes then recognized the phone and started "Recovery" mode.
First time this happened...wondering if it's hardware or the iOS?

Nov 23, 2015 8:37 AM in response to cr6zym0nkeyizby DallasMomma,I had the same problem, but it took much longer than 20 seconds (hold home and power button) to get a response. This phone is less than 60 days old.
