Q: Kodak AiO printer doesn't work since El Capitan installed. "Unexpected error"

Unfortunately third parties have been slow to adopt El Capitan's new printer driver structure.  Apple's normal updates are a bit delayed for printer drivers.  You might try open source*:

http://www.macmaps.com/printersx.html

Also ask Kodak if they use a third party printer engine.  That might allow you to use a non-Kodak driver on the same printer.

After upgrading to El Capitan from Yosemite I could print nothing with my AIO printer ESP 9250, although the iMac has sent the data to the printer and has also recognized the printer. From Kodak I received the following tip (similar to the work around from Mavericks to Yosemite last year) - in german language.

Result: now I can print via WLAN with my ESP 9250 as under Yosemeti

Clicken Sie auf Suchen (Spotlight) dort wo Sie normalerweise nach Programme suchen.

Geben Sie bitte das Wort “Terminal” ein und dann “enter” Taste drücken und dann geben Sie die folgende Information ein:

sudo sh -c 'echo "Sandboxing Relaxed" >> /etc/cups/cups-files.conf' und dann "enter" Taste drücken.

Nachdem Sie diesen Text eingegeben haben, werden Sie Ihr Kennwort eingeben und dann "enter" Taste drücken.

Obwohl Ihnen das Kennwort nicht angezeigt wird, nimmt das System trotzdem Ihr Kennwort an.

Nachdem Sie Ihr Macintosh Passwort eingegeben haben, geben Sie dieses Mal die folgende ein:

sudo launchctl stop org.cups.cupsd

und dann "enter" Taste drücken.

This was the Yosemite fix to get around sandbox issues. You may still run into the rootless issues after this, but I hope this workaround is sufficient,

None of these "solutions" worked for me. I thought that Apple was including the drivers in the OS X now.

Apple doesn't include any drovers in the OS now. Drivers can be downloaded through Software Update through the App Store, from the vendor if available, or from links off Printer and scanner software available for download for your Mac - Apple Support.

Sorry for my question: I hope you didn´t forget to copy the last sign " ´ " on the right to apples "Terminal" program:

sudo sh -c 'echo "Sandboxing Relaxed" >> /etc/cups/cups-files.conf'

Unfortunately, I don´t have further ideas

OPEN "Terminal", (in UTILITIES in your apps folder) press  the "enter" key and then paste in the following information:

sudo sh -c 'echo "sandboxing Relaxed" >> /etc/cups/cups-files.conf'

and then press "enter" key. (don't miss the inverted comma after the conf)

Once you have entered the text, enter your password, (it won't display) then press "enter" key.

Then paste the following..

sudo launchctl stop org.cups.cupsd

and then press "enter" key.

This worked on my Macbook Air 2012 11 inch with Kodak ESP 3250. No need for a restart.
