Sep 1, 2015 11:22 PM in response to H555by H555,Was finally able to get it to Force Restart but then it would switch itself off.
It would also seem that the antennae was possibly broken, with not being able to get WiFi.
Anyway the Apple Store replaced the handset without quibbling and in and out of the store in a flash. Well done Apple and thanks.

Sep 23, 2015 11:59 AM in response to Matt_M.by Wallballs,I experienced the same issue with my iPhone 6 (IOS version 8.3) today while fully charged. Set my phone down on the desk then went to pick it back up but I couldn't get the screen to appear. Tried power button and plugging in the charger to no avail. Matt's response on doing a hard restart worked.
On another note, I was told by our Fortune 100 BIS department to avoid IOS 9 before it launched last week. A friend downloaded IOS 9 and it totally crashed. Holding off on any Apple updates as they always seem to have major glitches at launch. Waiting for a few months and the green light from the BIS department before I upgrade any of my Apple devices to IOS 9. Apple stated in a Wall Street Journal that IOS 9 was downloaded by 50% of users, the highest in their history of upgrades, I myself am skeptical of the upgrade.

Oct 11, 2015 10:23 AM in response to ShafNZby JaniceIMac ,What can I do from stopping my iPhone going to sleep again? Your advice helped me. My phone was fully charged and wouldn't turn on until I held both buttons for 15+ seconds. Thanks.

Oct 11, 2015 8:57 PM in response to Naj16by ftrendster,I have same issue. Just got it yesterday iPhone 6s plus and dead within few hours. It seems the battery leakage or the phone malfunction. The power was drained in few hours from fully charged even I didn't use the phone at all. The phone looks like dead and no response to any button I pressed. The worst of all, I can't reset and erase all the data from the malfunction phone. Now I am stilling waiting Apple Support specialist to pick up my line for changing the iPhone. I have been hearing the songs from the support center for an hour now. Still no one pick up the phone. Are there many people changing the new phone now? So horrible and disappoint Apple quality. I have been using their series products for many years. Getting worse every year.

Oct 12, 2015 9:21 AM in response to Naj16by RISDMasters,I, too, had the same problem with my 5-day old 6s Plus. Went to bed last night, phone battery was at 70%, woke up this morning and phone appeared to be dead. Nothing worked. Plugging it into the charger didn't wake it up either. Thanks to this thread, I was able to get it to turn back on! I pressed both the Power and Home button for 10 seconds, and it came out of the 'deep sleep' mode and acted normal again.
I'm glad it's working, but I'm worried about the quality of this phone. It first got stuck in iCloud backup in the store, during my purchase session... that made me quite uneasy. Now this. Our Apple Store is 30 mins. outside of town, and I'm not happy about paying $1k for a phone that I have to continually spend hours of my day to fix.
I also feel like the phone is very sluggish. I have the 128k and have 5 apps installed, and about 12 photos. This thing runs like my 5s did when it was running out of room/memory. So far, not as nearly as impressed as I'd hoped to be.

Oct 15, 2015 9:28 AM in response to RISDMastersby wombat2k,Same issue here with a 3 day old 6s plus. It was just sitting there and suddenly it would not turn on and appeared completely dead. A reset kicked it back into gear, but I hope this is not a sign of things to come. It seems from this thread that a lot of people had it happening while restoring, but in my case it was factory installed.
I was sad to see the same symptoms happening on the 6 Plus. So it appears this is not new. Has anybody gotten a reasonable explanation as to why this happens? From my dealings with Apple, I wouldn't expect so, but one never knows.

Oct 16, 2015 8:27 PM in response to Naj16by ricarlovesit,I have kind of the same issue, I bought the iPhone one week ago. It worked perfectly fine until today. I was just going to open whatsapp when I pressed the icon the screen went unresponsive. I was able to swipe down or up and see the menus coming up but I wasn't able to swipe to the right or left or open any app. So I thought the iPhone was stuck or something. Tried locking it an unlocking it but the screen never came back. I know it's still on because I can switch to silent mode and it vibes but I cannot turn it off because the lock button does not respond. I am already regreting I bought this phone. Never saw a phone that would last one week. Never.
