Q: Airplay Icon Missing in Yosemite

Hi all,

i'm using Macbook Pro (mid-2010) with OS 10.10.5 (Yosemite) and Apple TV 3rd Gen with the latest update (*yes i checked it already).

Both my macbook and apple tv are on the same wifi network, but i can not find the airplay icon in my menu bar.

Before that, my friend tried to connect his Macbook Air with my Apple Tv and it worked flawlessly. He can mirror his macbook air to apple tv and to my HD tv, so the problem is not on my apple tv.

usually i'm using my apple tv to work with my Ipad or Iphone, and there we no problem also.

I already tried:

1. Changing my firewall option: no result

2. Restarting my macbook pro: no result

3. Restarting my apple tv: no result

Anw, i can play my music from itunes and make the sound comes out from my tv! How can it possible?

I'm quite depressed now, how can i make the Airplay Icon on my menu bar shows up???

Please if you have any solution about this, i will be very glad and grateful.

Thank you so much in advance!

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), mid-2010
