Q: why won't my air drop connect with el capitan

my air drop used used to connect with yosimite but now since the update i cannot connect my mac and iPhone 6 which both are up to date, please help

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2

Please carefully read Share content with AirDrop from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support and also Use AirDrop to send content from your Mac - Apple Support. I suspect a setting may need to be reset.
