    Hello guys.

does somebody here has somes trouble between his iPad and his iPhone ?

for exemple: if i connect my iPhone to these Halos, everything work very well .

Then if I disable Bluetooth on my iPhone, And enable it on my iPad, only my right Halo gonna work.

If I get back on my iPhone, both Halo will work....

    Same thing in reverse order:

--> the first iDevice assigned to my Halos gonna work well, but on the second iDevice assigned to my Halo, my left Halo doesn't work.

If i do "forget halo" on my second iDevice, then assign again to my Halo, the left Halo work back, but??? now it's my first iDevice which has trouble, only the right Halo is working.

Hope someone gonna help me, i tried everything (forgot device, iOS update, started for zero on my iDevice (as a new user), and nothing fixed it...

to conclude: i always need to do "forgot the device" and re-assign them to  my Halo to the second iDevice each time to have both Halo work.

iPhone 5 iOS 9.0.2 and iPad air 2 iOS 9.0.2

sorry for my bad english, hope you will understand what i'm saying.

    thanks you !

The iPhone 6S and 9.02 with the upgraded Bluetooth have been extremely reliable but I found  before the upgrades it took multiple tries each time I switched to connect the left and right.. So I now I just use the phone and not the iPad For the Halos. Since the phone is always in my pocket I could find no reason to connect with the iPad.

Oh so i'm not alone with this problem !

yes sure, if i stay connected to my iPhone, everything work very well.

But I often use my iPad for watching videos for example, so this trouble is a bit boring because I always need to do forgot device/assign.

well, i'll do like you, i'll stay on my iPhone for the moment.

    thanks for your answer.

You should be able to pair your Halos to both the iPad and the iPhone without the need to "forget" them while switching between devices. You do need to switch the Bluetooth off on the iOS device you no longer wish to use and on on the iOS device you wish to use now.

This document tells how to pair Halos to iOS devices, including switching between iOS devices:

    https://starkeypro.com/pdfs/quicktips/Halo_Set_Up_Made_Easy.pdf

And this document tells how to troubleshoot Halos when only one connects in the binaural setup:

    https://starkeypro.com/pdfs/quicktips/Troubleshooting_Halo_and_Apple_Device_Pair ing.pdf

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

If you’re still having pairing/connectivity issues, make sure you have the latest IOS running on your IOS devices. Check with your audi to make sure you have the latest firmware on your Halos. The audi should connect their PC to your Halos to confirm this. AFAIK, there is no other way to tell what firmware version the Halos are running.

You should be able to pair multiple devices to your Halo. I have two iphones and an ipad. What you need to remember to do is turn off the Bluetooth on one device before you turn the Bluetooth on another device. If you forget to do this, odd things may happen such as a single Halo will work but not the other. If this happens, turn off Bluetooth on both devices, open the battery door on both Halos, turn Bluetooth on on the device you plan to use, wait a a minute then close the battery doors. I find it easier to ask Siri to turn the Bluetooth off or on.

    HTH and good luck.

    Hi.

@vrungel: Yes I know that I need to disable bluetooth each time I want to change iDevice, but it doesn't resolve this problem.

@raserror645: I have already asked to my audi if my Halos were up to date (firmware) and yes, they were up to date, so this is not the problem.

And both iDevice (iPhone 5/iPad Air 2) are on iOS 9.0.2 (i'll be on OS 9.1 today).

Well, I think my audi has something to do in his Inspire Software, because these issues appeared since Starkey exchanged my left Halo for a new one (because it was broken). So maybe my "new" left Halo isn't register with my right Halo, or something like this...

    Hello,

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what was done to fix it.

I have a pair of Halos. Out of the blue, my left Halo went silent. I played music on my iphone and I can hear it both on my left and right Halos. Using my finger, I touched the microphone area on both my left and right Halos and I can hear the scraping sound. On my right, I can hear sounds normally but with my left, I can’t hear any external sounds.

Just to be sure, I replaced the battery, muted and unmated using trulink, raised the volume and selected different presets but still no external sounds on my left Halo. However, the sounds on my phone streams to both left and right.

I have an appointment with my audi but I want to see if anyone else had this and how it was fixed.

Have changed the wax guard in the left aid? That's what I would do first.

Since you can STREAM from your iDevice, the AMPLIFIER in your Halo is working fine, and the tube isn't plugged up with earwax.  What you're describing is a problem with the MICROPHONE on that aid.  It could be a dead microphone, or a PLUGGED microphone hole.  The only thing that YOU can do is to check the two holes on the top of the Halo to make sure that the holes didn't get plugged up with something sticky.  Other than that, you need your Audi's help.

    Hello,

Thanks for the quick replies and help.

I replaced the wax filter since I haven’t done so in a couple of months. And to be sure, I vacuumed it thoroughly with my Jodi vac. No Joy. The next day, I heard crackling and popping and things were back to normal. Today, I turned them on and my left one is once again dead to external sounds.

I’m going to see my audi and if I get any useful info that might be helpful, I’ll post.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I saw my audi today and this is what I found out.

There is a new “performance update” that was released recently. If you haven’t seen your audi lately, you might want to check it out.

For the no external sounds issue, the issue was a blocked microphone door. The door needs to be removed, cleaned and also clean around the microphone.  The door is small and flimsy so be extra careful when removing it. So if you notice your Halos are not picking up external sounds well or none at all, this is the most likely cause.

    Hello,

Not sure if you guys are aware of this so sorry if it’s been posted elsewhere.

The current Halo firmware version is 3.1.0.12.  To find out what you have, open the Trulink app, go to settings then help. Then click on email customer support. The body of the message will show your firmware version.

    FYI - All

Day three using Halo BTE i110 with iphone 6 all running most current updates and firmware. Excellent results in a noisy restaurant, riding in the car, tv, telephone calls, no problems with pairing as earlier mentions. 60 years of age first time aid wearer with high frequency loss. So far a life changing experience. After reading the above comments I understand the importance of regular visits to the audiologist going forward.

Many thanks to those early trials, surely your feedback has been vital to the product development process.

Also thanks for the above tip on pointing out the process and location of firmware for the device and phone. VERY IMPORTANT takeaway for me.
