Q: Switching on iOS keyboard

Hi,

Just got my new iPhone 6S. I installed swiftkey keyboard, a third party keyboard. I'm really satisfied with this one.

However, when on a form I need to fill a password field, the keyboard automatically switches to the iOS keyboard. How can I deactivate that? It's actually pretty annoying.

Thanks a lot.

    Hi Jonathan_Sabatier,

I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your iPhone. If this issue is only happening when trying to enter password info with the 3rd party keyboard, you may want to double check if the keyboard in question has or requires full access to the OS to be enabled, as outlined in the following article:

    Turn on a new keyboard

After you install a keyboard app, you’ll see a list of available third-party keyboards you’ve turned on. When you turn on a third-party keyboard, you might be asked to provide full access to your iOS device.

Some third-party keyboards need full access to your iOS device to work. If you use a third-party keyboard, you could potentially provide personal information to the third-party developer. iOS 8 doesn’t let third-party keyboards access your personal information unless you allow full access.

You’ll need to give full access to each keyboard you add. Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards, and tap on the keyboard you want to give full access to. If you don’t have any other third-party keyboards installed, the full access section won’t appear. You can usually view the developer’s privacy policy on the app’s download page in the App Store.

    Cheers

    Hi Brenden DV,

Thanks for your reply. I confirm you that the keyboard had full access. Actually it appears that some apps do not let third keyboard to have access on password field. So I guess I'm stuck with that situation, but thanks for the reply anyway

    Cheers.
