Q: Hidden files after failed migration

Yikes!  Just upgraded to a new MPB with a 1TB SSD. My old MPB's 500Gb SSD was almost full. First attempt with migration assistant failed. Second attempt succeeded. But the first attempt has left over 400Gb of hidden files on the new machine...

How do I remove them?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), null

You can try this Terminal command. I recommend copy and paste.

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -boolean true ; killall Finder

    To reverse, use:

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE -boolean false ; killall Finder

Thank You! This was helpful but didn't really work for me. I tried the command to reverse as well but still have a .ds-store folder on my desktop that won't leave. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!
