Oct 16, 2015 10:57 AM in response to Jemima Harrisonby Eric Root,You can try this Terminal command. I recommend copy and paste.
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles -boolean true ; killall Finder
To reverse, use:
defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles FALSE -boolean false ; killall Finder

Nov 18, 2015 4:06 AM in response to Eric Rootby rick740,Thank You! This was helpful but didn't really work for me. I tried the command to reverse as well but still have a .ds-store folder on my desktop that won't leave. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
