Q: I share an Apple account with mu husband - after the last iOS upgrade, I get every text he sends and he gets every text I send - even when they aren't being sent to each other.  Plus when I send to him, I get  a copy. How do I fix this?

    Every person should have a seperate Apple ID. Since all purchases (apps, music, etc) were made your husband's Apple ID, he can set up Family Sharing, so you continue to have access to them.

     

    There are some temporary workarounds available. Search this forum for instructions, but you really need your own ID.

    I just posted a question related to using one ID and Family sharing.  My husband and I both have separate ID's but needed to sync contacts and some calendars for business.  However, we want to avoid the same issue above.  You don't really answer the question if she's having this issue of needing to sync contacts and calendars but not messaging and FaceTime calls.

    Settings - Messages - Send & Receive... Then delete the "inappropriate" contact details from each device.
