Q: Notes on macbook won't sync with icloud

I have a Macbook Air (Yosemite 10.10.5) and an iPhone 6 (ios 9.02)

The Notes app on my Macbook will not sync. When I write notes on my iPhone in the iCloud account, they do not show up in the Notes app on the Macbook. When I go on the web on the Macbook and log into my iCloud account, the notes are all there. My iCloud settings in the Accounts prefs on the Macbook have Notes checked.

I've tried just about everything I can think of, but with no success.

Any ideas?
