Q: How do I delete photos from my iPad that I have imported from my Mac?

A few months ago I transferred app. 80 photos onto my iPad from my Mac Mini.

Now I am trying to delete these photos from the iPad, but selecting the imported images does not display the Trash can, or any other option to delete. Using iTunes is an exercise in frustration.

Thank you for any helpful suggestions.

You need to reconnect the iPad to your Mac, and use the iPad's Photos tab in iTunes to change your photo sync selection (photos synced from a computer can't be deleted directly on a device). To delete all synced photos try changing your photo sync selection to be just an empty folder

device iTunes 12 photos empty folder.jpg

Why does Apple complicate this so much ... user-friendly took a break when this was designed.
