Only if you downloaded the full 10.10.4 installer while it was available and saved it. Otherwise, no.

Thank you.  I downloaded just now from Apple Support site 10.10.4 dogs in both normal and combo versions, 1.09GB and 2.07GB respectively.   I believe these are full installs, but maybe I'm wrong?

No. What you found were both older update files. One is the delta updater, which is only good for updating 10.10.3 to 10.10.4, and the larger one is the Combo updater which will update anything from 10.10.0 through 10.10.3 up to 10.10.4.

Apple only keeps the latest full installer versions of OS X available through the App Store. So if you go into your App Store account and choose to download Yosemite, you will always get 10.10.5.

The full installer is a bit over 5 GB.

Thanks.  Too bad.  Are there ways of getting hold of the full 10.10.4 installer?   (Which I did download once upon a time.)

I'm afraid not. You would have had to save it on an external drive at the time the full installer was at 10.10.4. Avoid any and all temptation to download it from an illegal sharing site (or anywhere you may find it on the Internet that is not Apple). Such downloads are almost always loaded with "extras" you don't want on your computer. Like keyloggers, backdoors and other malware.

You might have a chance at an Apple Store. Ask if you can get a copy of the full 10.10.4 installer there. Since you do have Yosemite under your App Store account, you'll still be able to install it when it asks for an App Store ID and password. Which of course will be yours.

    Thanks.  I'll try.

Do you have a backup that you could restore to your computer when you were running 10.10.4?
