Q: how to retrieve blocked messages?

I blocked my friend as a joke for a few hous. Later, he said he sent me text messages during it so I want to get those back.

But how?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.2

LIKE OTHER ANDROID PHONES IF ANY CONTACT IS BLOCKED IN THE PHONE ONCE YOU UNBLOCK THEM , ALL THE MESSAGES AND CALLS THEY DID TO ME (DURING THEY WERE BLOCKED) APPEAR VISIBLE BUT WHY NOT IN I PHONE?
