Q: Apple ios 9.0.2 - WORST update ever!

Updating to ios 9.0.2 has been the single WORST experience on my iPhone 6+ or any iPhone for that matter!

1. Apps fail to update. When I tap the "update" or "update all" button, it just rolls around and goes back to the original "update" status!

2. When I restart my phone, my "settings" and other apps randomly open in the background when my phone restarts!

3. Apps are crashing left, right and centre!

4. Reminders are failing to be sent as before!

5. Push notifications are failing to be sent as before!

6. Phone freezes much more than it use to!

Why the **** does an "ios update" these days always mean incredible annoyance and endless frustration? It's like my phone has been hijacked by all these useless bugs and it's not even funny. Is someone seriously getting intoxicated at Apple and screwing things up with each ios update? What the **** is going on???

I find that you have not read the articles at all and are unnecessarily argumentative.

Please do not respond to any of my posts again. You are not being helpful, and your posts are

    against Apple Support Communities guidelines.

As I said, you have no credibility here anymore and people can and will respond to you accordingly.

    Cheers and good luck

I have the same exact issues and it is confirmed by Apple and Verizon that the buggy update has affected millions of customers nationwide.

Citation, please. It's easy to throw around "millions", but where is the actual quote? I know for a fact that it is untrue, because Apple NEVER gives out information like that, and my associate who deals with Verizon confirms that Verizon hasn't said anything of the sort.

Making this claim destroys your credibility and totally invalidates anything else you might say. I will henceforth ignore you.

Well, I'm not sure I'd agree 9.0.2 is the worst update ever (based on my, specific problems), however I can say this is the worst community forum, evah.

Numerous Verizon techs have said this to me, that their Support calls are inundated with problems related to the 9.9 and subsequent updates.

I am glad that it has been verified, all we need now is for you to post links to where they verified it so we can see what you saw. (you did see it I assume)

Any chance we could focus on the problem(s)?

That's a good idea, but I think it is hopeless to try to do that in this thread. Seriously. Start a new thread stating the problem, without any editorial comment, and I'm sure there are people willing to work with you on it.

Once a tread such as this has been hijacked by a user such as the one we will not mention, the entire thread turns to a shambles because of this one user's crusade over off topic rants and basically becomes useless for both the Original Poster and anyone else who sees the thread. Best you start your own thread now, giving details of your issues and troubleshooting steps taken so far.

    Cheers

since updating to IOS 9.0.2 from 8.4   I have lost the use of Cellular Data...  all else is working

    I've tried rebooting several times

tried turning on and off Airplane mode several times

tried turning on and off Cellular several times

tried doing network reset several times..

nothing is working to bring Cellular data back and I REALLY do need it when traveling...  WiFi is not always available when am traveling...

I wish someone at Apple would FIX this problem... this is extremely frustrating

If you do factory restore after backup.. does this backup restore your apps you have bought and downloaded to your phone??

I can do backup for my contacts and 900 photos, my songs and videos but what about the apps???

am I going to have to rebuy them?

Apple will fix the problem if you take the phone to an Apple Store. The problem is with YOUR PHONE, not the other 300 million phones that were updated and are working.

I have done everything I can except restore to factory settings.. but if it is going to put the IOS 9.0.2 back on my phone... I will have the same IOS with the same bugs...  everything is working fine on my phone except Cellular Data when traveling ... I need Cellular data because WiFi where I am is not always available...

I have done all the resets, reboots etc..  several times.. NOTHING WORKS..

when I go into the settings of Whatsapp  with only Cellular Data turned on... it says "Connected" in 5 seconds it says "Not Connected" and will not connect to the internet.. I can't get email, I can't get on the internet and I can't do my whatsapp Chat with my son...   I MUST have cellular data... I've read that others have tried the restore to factory settings and the problem still remains... nothing is working to bring the Cellular Data back... Which appears it IS Apple;s Fault  and it is appalling if they will not help fix this mess...

    thanks
