Q: The "shared" button on Photos app. does not apper.

Lately I started iCloud with my wife and noticed a problem with shaing photos on my phone.

My phone does not show the "shared" button in the middle on photos app. wheras my wife's phone(6) does. We both updated to iOS 9.0.2.

I tried to fix it by restaring the phone and change some setings, but all went failed. i also checked my collegues phones(5S), they also do not have the "shared" button on their photos app either. therefore I could not find any good way to activate it on my phone(5s).

Here is what i have done on my phone settings.

- In the setings of Photos & Camera, there is no item for iCloud on and off.

- In the settings of iCloud, there is no item for photos on and off. but Mail, contact, calendars and etc are available.

I wonder if this is the device issue like 5S and 6, for example only iPhone 6 can do.... hopefully not.

If not, could you advise how to make "shared" button display on my Photos app?

Thank you.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.0.2

    Hello DKNSA,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post I understand that you are trying to share from the Photos app, but have no share selection, as well as you're missing Photos in the iCloud Settings.  To start troubleshooting this issue, I suggest that you sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, and then sign back in.

    iCloud

    1. Tap Settings > iCloud on your iOS device.
    2. Scroll down and tap Sign Out. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account. After you sign out of iCloud, you might not be able to access some of your data that's stored in iCloud until you sign in again. If you're part of a family, you'll need to sign back in to use Family Sharing.

    3. Choose Keep on My iPhone or Delete from My iPhone.
    4. Enter your password.
    5. Go to Settings > iCloud and enter your Apple ID and password.
    6. Tap Sign In.

Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Take care.
