Q: does anyone have problems trying to us in Private browsing?

Having turned on Private browsing my iPad does not respond to entering items in search so there is no such thing as Private browsing on my iPad it would appear. Have I screwed up a setting somewhere?

iPad Air, iOS 8.4.1

    What do you mean by it doesn't respond? You can't enter text into the url field? You can enter text, but when you tap search nothing happens? I don't know of any setting that would affect entering search terms in private browsing.

     

    Did you try clearing Safari in Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data?
