Definitely not. Why do you feel you need such an App?

    CapnMike,

As the others have advised DO NOT install MacKeeper, experienced users on these forums consider it malware. OS X does not need any cleaning, antivirus or third party "maintenance" utilities.

Can you narrow down what types of duplications you are finding. For example if you use iPhoto you could say, "In iPhoto V. XXX there a hundreds of duplicate photos. Is there a method to remove the duplicates?"

We can then help you find how to eliminate the duplicates.

You also mentioned you are experiencing slowing of your iMac. What you can do is get EtreCheck report of your system. We can then look for obvious issues. Please click the link, download the app and run the report. Once you have the report, please copy and paste it to your reply to this post.

Read this User Tip:  Do not install MacKeeper. The same goes for any "optimizing" or "cleaning" app.

I don't see any of the usual suspects.  However, you have the minimum amount of RAM for running El Capitan.  If you begin to experience decreased/sluggish performance with apps consider upgrading to 8 GB RAM from Crucial.com or Otherworldcomputing.com.
