Oct 6, 2015 2:15 PM in response to wjdcrby superconnected,I tried turning off Hand off and suggested apps, installed 9.02 but it has not solved the issue of my phone freezing regularly.
The apps that are the biggest offenders are facebook, iMessages, and Mail, especially if I click on a link in any of those apps and it opens up safari in the window.

Oct 6, 2015 11:01 PM in response to Highwaystar79by 66 Mustang,Same stupid lockups after I did the update. Checked around the office - everyone who did the update is having the problem. Just turned off "Handoff" and "Suggested Apps" we'll see what happens.
This is a joke - too many people having the same problem to be ignored.
Yeah and the fix - turn off features - ha ha.
Running a 64GB 6.

Oct 8, 2015 5:58 AM in response to Highwaystar79by Hanssp,My iPhone 6 Plus 128GB iOs 9.0.2 is only freezing on certain apps like myfitnessPal and Runkeeper. It looks like a memory problem. Also certain apps like Healthkit and AppleWatch don't load and show a white screen.
I cab still force-close the apps and restart my iPone.

Oct 8, 2015 8:48 PM in response to Josephine1231by Randall Bjorensen,I've had same issue with iPad Air 2, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus. Originally started hanging for 10-40 seconds or so maybe more after upgrading my iPad and iPhone to iOS 9. I had restored encrypted full backups from iTunes as I did not want to lose my health data, setup, passwords etc. Got my new 6s Plus in and did same and had similar problems with freezing. Didn't want to do it, ****** I had to because hate losing my health data (will not use health data any more until they change it to sync), but restored my iPad and 6s to brand new, no restore. Since then I've had no problems with the iPhone (well over a week) but iPad is still doing it. It didn't right away. I've been slowly adding apps back on, but now does it all the time. It seem to happen a lot after unlock and even happens after a hard reboot (home-lock hold) first unlock. Im totally ****** with this issue and apple devices in general. I have them all, use them all and I'm just getting sick and tired of constantly having to troubleshoot crap and restore stuff losing data etc.. By the way, issue there on 9.0, 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 for me.

Oct 9, 2015 2:21 PM in response to Randall Bjorensenby Peter Bowden,My wife's iPhone 6Plus has frozen twice in the last week, so has my brand new iPhone 6S (at completely different times)! Both are running 9.02 but are backed up on different machines, one on an iMac and the other on a MacBook Pro. No new Apps installed. The freezing looks to be random - the 'phones suddenly don't respond. It takes a full reset - both buttons held down - to get them going again. It really looks like a bug in iOS9.01 or 9.02. My previous iPhone (5S) and my wife's iPhone 6Plus ran without problems on iOS9.
Because my 'phone froze during the night last night, my early morning alarm on it did not go off - I very nearly missed the tide, which would have really messed me up.
So other than suggesting a full reset, which works for me, I have no suggestions how to prevent it. Apple needs to get to the bottom of this quickly and solve it.

Oct 21, 2015 11:44 AM in response to Highwaystar79by neroduc,I was truly loving my I-phone 6+ until the 9.0 update...I can't stand it anymore. It is almost unusable. It constantly freezes when trying to open anything or do anything.
I realize over time that software is more taxing on older phones and it always appeared that software was written to almost force people to buy new phones but I haven't even had this phone for a year. I cannot see waiting out the remainder of my phone contract with such a poorly functioning phone. It appears that the Facebook App is the worst offender and seems to effect the rest of my phone after trying to access it. This is my first I-phone and looks to be my last. As I said I used to love my phone but I now want to throw it in the garbage.

Oct 21, 2015 12:16 PM in response to neroducby Peter Bowden,I don't think it is the FaceBook App causing the problem. I do have this on my 'phone (6S) but haven't used it at all and it is not on my wife's 'phone (6+). Both 'phones are still freezing seemingly randomly every four or five days. I have not been able to isolate the reason why - they just don't "wake" from standby when you fully expect them to!
