    Thanks brenden dv but that link does not say anything about event font colour or background colour except through placing the event in a different calendar .  My events display as black on white but interestingly, holidays are displayed as black on a light yellow background.  I would like, for example, to have some events in my calendar with red text on a white background or, say, black text on a pink background.  A proliferation of calendars seems awkward.
