Q: Non-iPhone photos not uploading to iPhone once downloaded into the Photos app

When I take photos from my Nikon D3300, I upload them to my mid-2014 MBP via the photos app (SD card).  Once there, my understanding is they are automatically dumped into Photostream and sent to all my iOS devices.  Well, That's not happening.  I either get one photo (very rare) or don't get them at all (Most of the time.) The funny part is, I usually receive the photos on my iPad, but usually never on my iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB. I've tried everything to get these photos to dump to my iPhone, but nothing! Anyone got a suggestion?  I feel like I've tried EVERYTHING the Internet has to offer!  I can see all my photo's I've taken, either by my iPhone or my Nikon in the OS X Photos app, but why don't they upload to Photostream?  Currently, I'm using iOS 9.0.2 and OS X 10.11.  Thanks!

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.0.2

    Hi there Cbgny23,

If I understand correctly, photos added to My Photo Stream on your MacBook Pro aren't appearing on your iPhone 6 Plus. The article below provides some great information and troubleshooting tips that should help you resolve the issue.

Get help using My Photo Stream - Apple Support

I don't see photos from My Photo Stream on my iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV

If you’ve turned on iCloud Photo Library, every photo and video you take will live in iCloud, including ones from your My Photo Stream. If some of your devices don't have iCloud Photo Library turned on, My Photo Stream will upload your recent photos to share with those devices.

If you can't find your My Photo Stream images in the Photos app, follow these steps:

    1. From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi. Make sure that Wi-Fi is on, and that you have an Internet connection.
    2. Go back to Settings and tap iCloud > Photos.
    3. Make sure that My Photo Stream is on. If it’s already on, turn it off and tap Delete. Then, turn on My Photo Stream again.
    4. On the device that took the photo you're looking for, close the Camera app. Nothing uploads to My Photo Stream until you do.
    5. See if your iOS device is below 20% battery power. If it is, My Photo Stream will be disabled temporarily to preserve battery life.

If you're using an Apple TV, it might display only your most recent photos due to its storage capacity.

    Ciao.

    Jason,

Thanks for the reply, but I've tried all of those steps.  No dice.  Got anything else?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. Due to the nature of the My Photo Stream issue with your iPhone 6 Plus, you may find more information by using another one of the Apple support resources provided here:  https://getsupport.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action.
