Q: iphone not completing icloud backup

What happens when you attempt to backup to iCloud? Do you see an error message? If so, what is it? Do you have sufficient storage in iCloud for the backup?

I am also facing the same issue, unable to take backup. On my iPhone, it shows me the last backup i.e (current date and time of my last backup) I took back more than 3 times.....but I cannot see my all photos on icloud. Now my half the photos are deleted from my iphone device its stored on icloud rest its on my iphone which fails to back up on icloud. Please help.Thanks!

The storage of photos in iCloud is a completely different question from a regular backup. I'm not in use of photos in iCloud, but do know that it has to do with iCloud Drive and other things. You may need to wait for someone that is more aware of how photos work in iCloud to answer your particular question.

my message says estimating time remaining and the progress bar looks like it's near the end but it never completes. I have an iPhone 6, wifi and plenty of iCloud storage free

the problem I encountered is the same as what you are having. About 3 mins left to the completion, it will say fail.

Would Apple or someone please help?

Since i updated the IOS, started to fail every icloud backup i tried to do

Called Apple support, they don´t have any solutions yet, maybe a bug...and i think we must wait for another IOS update...

Same problem here ... it worked for me since ever till October 21st, this is the last successful backup. Whats wrong Apple??

iTunes 12.3.1.23 indicates the last backup to iCloud was 10/10/15, 9:50 PM.  iPhone iOS 9.1 indicates "Latest Backup" to the iCloud was "Never."  Backup Size 3.3 GB. “Next Backup Size” 2.9 GB.  I can't delete the old backup 3.3 GB because there is no "Delete Backup" option at end of "Show All Apps." 

How do I backup my iPhone running iOS 9.1? When I try “Settings > iCloud > Backup > Back Up Now” the message says “The last backup could not be completed.”

The iPhone still works as a telephone.  It’s just the iCloud that doesn’t work since 10/10/15 at 9:50 PM.

how did you resolve the issue? I have the same problem.
