Q: JetDrive Lite not detected

My Transcend JetDrive Lite is not being detected by my Macbook Pro 15". I tried restarting the device and removing and inserting the card without any affect. However, when I tried using other SD cards, the card reader did its job. I also tried using the available JetDrive Toolbox, however it seems that it is incapable of recognising the SSD card.

Does it appear in Finder?
Does it appear in System Profiler?
OS X: About System Information and System Profiler - Apple Support
Are the contacts clean and look undamaged?
Does it work in another computer/reader?

Could be that it failed.

No, not in Finder, neither in System Profiler. Pretty sure, contacts are clean and undamaged; owned it for about a month, never actually removed it from its port before, so contacts are surely not damaged. I did try it on an another laptop and it isn't detected either.

That would indicate that the card failed.
