Q: Boot Camp Assistant

Hi Fellows,

I am really stuck in worst situation. I will upload images and write description below it so you can understand and assist me...

I want to install Windows 7 in my MAC and my current version is this...

Check screenshot regarding about my MAC...

Now when I opened boot camp assistant I got this on my screen which is wrong, because window 7 check box is invisible, which will be above the check box of download latest windows support software...

Here you can see...

So I followed but I can't edit info.plist file, so I want the reason and solution for this so please I will attach three more screenshots in which you can see what kind of error I got when I try to change permission of this file...

Your Mac needs a physical DVD to install Windows.

I read you previous message as well in which you asked me to use Physical DVD, so how many % are you sure that it will work, because right now I don't have DVD with me...

And in your second message I opened link but truly telling you after reading a lot of forums and tutorials my mind is totally stuck and not working properly...

So I will follow with your first message which is DVD once... And hope it will work...

Dear Friend I insert DVD and CD as well, but didn't get any solution still its invisible so please guide me...

Please find an Audio CD and a DVD Video disc. Insert one disk, try to play Audio or Video, as appropriate. Make sure your Optical drive works properly before you run BC Assistant.

You are right, I insert every CD and DVD...

First I inserted songs CD in my MAC and then after few seconds CD came automatically out...

Then I inserted movie DVD and same reaction came automatically out...

Then I inserted Windows 8.1 DVD, its run but nothing happened and I ejected DVD...

Then I open DISK UTILITY and CDs & DVDs from system preferences...

See screenshots and let me know what's going on???

The CD/DVD settings are fine. If iTunes does not open or the DVD player does not start, you need to diagnose the issues with your Optical drive first.

Check About This Mac -> System Report -> Disc Burning.

Can you clean the laser of the Optical drive using a soft cloth and a credit card sized plastic card? If you do not want to, you will need to tie it to the nearest Apple Storage and let them assist you.
